Thrifted & Styled - Vintage Cane Chairs

I thrifted these Vintage Cane Chairs and gave the a fresh update with new paint and upholstery! I have to admit that upholstery is not my favorite thing to do 😅 It’s really hard work, but the results always make it worth the effort. The caning isn’t perfect but no one has really noticed (or at least they haven’t told me 😉) and I think it just adds charm and a lived in quality. Nothing is perfect here…just loved and lived in! 🖤

DIY Windproof Candle Holder 🌬️

Spring makes me want to spend every minute outside! I love a beautiful outdoor tablescape and alfresco dining, but with the strong winds we get, keeping taper candles lit can be such a challenge! 🫠 I know pillar candles in hurricanes are an option, but I just love the look of taper candles!

So this year I came up with a simple DIY solution and created these Windproof Taper Candle Holders using just a few basic supplies. I love how they turned out, and now I can enjoy my taper candles without worrying about the wind! ✨

I thrifted this cast iron bird bath about a year ago and it’s gotten so rusted and weathered that it was time for a refresh! After a quick cleaning and a coat of spray paint and primer, it’s good as new & ready for the birds to enjoy! We get lots of birds here in the front flower garden especially when the Peggy Martin Roses are blooming. How about those beauties!?!
