DIY Windproof Candle Holder 🌬️

Spring makes me want to spend every minute outside! I love a beautiful outdoor tablescape and alfresco dining, but with the strong winds we get, keeping taper candles lit can be such a challenge! 🫠 I know pillar candles in hurricanes are an option, but I just love the look of taper candles!

So this year I came up with a simple DIY solution and created these Windproof Taper Candle Holders using just a few basic supplies. I love how they turned out, and now I can enjoy my taper candles without worrying about the wind! ✨

I thrifted this cast iron bird bath about a year ago and it’s gotten so rusted and weathered that it was time for a refresh! After a quick cleaning and a coat of spray paint and primer, it’s good as new & ready for the birds to enjoy! We get lots of birds here in the front flower garden especially when the Peggy Martin Roses are blooming. How about those beauties!?! When I thrifted this vintage copper mold, I realized I’ve collected quite a few pieces over the past few years. I’ve gathered these pieces at estate sales, thrifts stores, retail stores and online sites. Mixing vintage and new pieces has been a great way to add to my collection on a budget. I love the vintage charm they add to the open shelves in kitchen and how they’re both functional and gorgeous! 🤩 I’m such a sucker for time worn pieces with patina! Well it’s officially Spring and it’s definitely showing off here this year! 💗 My Peggy Martins are in full bloom and all of my plants and flowers are coming back to life! 🌸

Before the temps heat up we love to spend time in the greenhouse. Spring is the best time for alfresco dining in the greenhouse and we’re making the most of it! 💗 Thanks to @sophistiplate we’re dining in style this season! Can you believe these gorgeous plates are made of paper!?! 🙌 This Rococo pattern with floral pinks and greens is absolutely perfect for our greenhouse in Spring!
