🤎 DIY Scalloped Board 🤎

I love all of the huge scalloped cutting boards available right now but I just can’t justify the $200-300 cost right now with all of our home projects coming up so…I decided to give DIY a try!!!

I designed a template, used the same wood as my bunny board from a few years ago and love the way it turned out! This board will be decorative and for serving but I do have some supplies and tips if you want to make it food safe.

My husband Skip is in his Bob Ross era and I’m so here for it!!! 🙌🤩🎨🖼️♥️ I loved the pinecone wreath that I added to this space for Christmas but was ready for a change and something that reflected the vibe of the space a little more! ICYMI we used thrifted shutters salvaged from an old church in New Orleans for cabinet doors here on our back porch remodel, so I wanted the space to have more of a Louisiana feel. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations with this gorgeous painting on left over wood from the porch ceiling! He did steal my craft brushes but I don’t mind 😉 And I’ll be commissioning more pieces soon!! 😍

I’m keeping the seasonal decorating a little low key until Spring but these yarn hearts are the perfect subtle touch of Valentine’s Day decor! The texture and soft colors of the yarn are the perfect transition from holiday decor and they are so easy and inexpensive to make (my favorite combo! 🙌)

I’ve finally packed away all of the Christmas deco

I’ve finally packed away all of the Christmas decorations and we’re starting off the new year with some DIY projects! I put a poll up in stories a few weeks ago and it was almost a tie between clear/natural wood sealer and black wood sealer. We opted for black because we felt it would tie the dining area in with the rest of the outdoor furniture and backyard spaces.

This is December in Louisiana 🤍 I love seeing ever

This is December in Louisiana 🤍 I love seeing everyone’s snow pictures but we still have green grass, a few flowers & ferns and moderate temperatures (in fact it was even what I consider hot this weekend!?!?). We have a few days of below freezing lows coming up but I’m glad they won’t last long. I don’t think I’d be very good at life in the ice and snow 🥶 🫠
