Ingredients
- 2 20-ounce cans cherry pie filling
- 1 8-ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 15.25-ounce vanilla cake mix
- ½ cup butter 1 stick, sliced
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Spread cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom.
- Beat cream cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon dollops over the cherry filling.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top.
- Cover with thin slices of butter.
- Bake 35–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool 15 minutes before serving.
