How to Make a Pumpkin Candle Holder

Family heirlooms don’t have to be riches or gold. They can be made with time, love and thread 🤎

Long before the days of Target decor, my husband’s grandmother made these cross stitch samplers and hung them in her kitchen for everyone to enjoy. She was an amazing cook and loved having her family in her kitchen! She passed away in 2017 at the age of 98 and I can’t even image the number of meals she served with love in all her time here.

Over the years the samplers were tucked away in storage and forgotten until Skip brought them home to me when his family was cleaning out. He knew I would love them and of course I DO!

I’ve always loved samplers and tried to learn to cross stitch as a teenager but patience with projects isn’t my strong suit 😉 I so grateful we have these beauties to enjoy in our kitchen now!

I love adding natural elements into seasonal decor and pinecones are such a great way to add lots of texture! I used left over mini pinecones from my topiaries and added in medium pinecones this time to add a little more depth to the trees.

I love that these can be used from Fall all the way through winter! I think these will so cute with fairy lights for Christmas! ✨

When I started planning my fall decor, I wanted a pair of vintage gold pumpkin candle holders with a rustic brass finish for my coffee table. Of course I couldn’t find exactly what I had in mind, so I DIY’ed a set! I love the vintage brass touch they add to the space! They were so easy to make…I might have made a few more sets for the dining room too 😉

I absolutely loved my Fall mantel from last year but since I like to change things up I wanted something a little different. When searching for Fall garland the options were a little pricey so I decided to DIY one this year and I love the way it turned out!

With a few supplies I had on hand and these inexpensive stems from @hobbylobby I was able to make this garland for under $20!! I intended to add some pinecones and other things for fillers but I’m really liking this simple look. What do you think?
