It’s been such a fun season sharing lots of Spring and Easter DIYs and recipes with you! Today I’m sharing a little recap of all of the spaces we’ve crafted and decorated over the past few weeks in a home tour 💗

So much is happening behind the scenes here in our backyard makeover to be sure to follow along in stories. I’m sharing some easy outdoor projects with you next week that you don’t want to miss as we head into one of the most beautiful outdoor seasons of the year here in Louisiana!

Do you know the story of the Peggy Martin Rose?

After Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, so many lives were forever changed—including that of Peggy Martin, a passionate gardener from Louisiana. In the aftermath of the storm, she returned to find her home and garden devastated after spending weeks under 20 feet of saltwater. Everything was gone. Her home, all of her belongings and sadly even the lives of her elderly parents were all lost.

Her beloved plants, carefully tended for years, had also perished—except for one.
A resilient climbing rose, untouched by the salt and ruin. It was the only thing in her garden to survive. That rose became a powerful symbol of hope and rebirth—not just for Peggy, but for gardeners everywhere.
Named in her honor, the Peggy Martin Rose has since been shared and planted across the country as a living tribute to perseverance, beauty, and the healing power of nature. Some of the proceeds of first propagated plants even helped rebuild green spaces devastated by the hurricane.

This thornless, vigorous rose is not only stunning—it carries a story worth telling. So easy to grow (even I managed to succeed!). It even survived the unprecedented Louisiana Blizzard this year!

Spring has brought my happy place back to life y’all! 🌸 🙌 I love spending time in our vintage window greenhouse house and soaking up the sunshine and sounds of nature! Meals and tablescapes in the greenhouse just feel so much more magical!

My Peggy Martin roses are showing off right now so I just had to add them to the centerpiece! I am so in awe of these beauties and I can’t wait to share more views of them with you very soon! The roses are definitely beautiful but this adorable bunny from @decorsteals steals the show! I love him so much that I think he’ll stay around the greenhouse and garden long after Easter! Isn’t his little face just so happy! ?!?! 🐰

Our backyard makeover is in full swing and the greenhouse is my little place of refuge from all of the construction mess! I spent some time cleaning up in the greenhouse, potting plants and sprucing things up outdoors! Hope everyone is having a great start to Spring!!! 🌸💗🌸

I’ve wanted to add a rabbit appliqué pillow cover to my Spring decor for the past few years but haven’t had the time to get the sewing machine out and make it so I figured I’d go with the no-sew option this year and sew a few other projects coming up! This is such an easy way to add some seasonal whimsy to your decor and would be so fun to let little ones design their own pillow cover!

Let’s make Candleholders out of bunny figurines! 🐰🕯️💗 I wanted bunny candleholders for my coffee table but couldn’t find any that were right for the table, including the ones I made last year! When I found these cute bunny figurines @hobbylobby I loved the size and shape but not the color….and the fact that they weren’t even candleholders was also a problem 😅 But with the help of the cute little wood candle cups and a little paint they turned out to be exactly what I wanted! You can use this method to make almost anything a candleholder!
