Dining Room

Starting in the dining room, I couldn’t wait to showcase one of my favorite combinations for spring: a mix of vintage cabbageware, ironstone, and delicate bone china. For this tablescape, I paired my vintage Marlow pattern bone china by Minton with whimsical cabbageware pieces. The soft floral details, scalloped edges, and gold trimmed rims of the china bring such an elegant touch, while the cabbageware adds a playful contrast that feels just right for a happy spring gathering.

To enhance that sense of charm and whimsy, I added rabbit candleholders with hand painted stripes and delicate details. These small accents help tie everything together and make the table feel thoughtful and layered without being overwhelming.

For linens, I used a vintage embroidered dresser scarf as a runner. I love repurposing pieces like this because they add so much character. The soft colors and handmade feel elevate the entire tablescape and create a collected look that feels both timeless and welcoming.

The centerpiece may be one of my favorite elements. I used my DIY Yarn Bunny Ears, created from leftover materials from previous easy DIY projects, to bring a playful and creative touch to the table. Paired with faux spring florals in pinks, creams, and greens arranged in a vintage milk glass vase, the entire look feels fresh, light, and perfect for a spring day.

To complete the space, I swapped out my artwork for a soft cottage inspired spring scene. Changing art is one of the easiest ways to refresh a room for the season and instantly add color and personality.

Kitchen

The kitchen truly is the heart of our home, and even the smallest changes can make it feel refreshed for the season. For this spring décor update, I focused on simple swaps that made a big impact.

A cozy, vintage-style kitchen with open shelves displaying plates, jars, rolling pins, baskets, a scale, a framed landscape photo, dish towels, and a copper mold hanging on a white wall.

One of my favorite ways to update the kitchen is by changing out linens. I added blue, green, and white flour sack towels along with coordinating oven mitts to my peg rack. These colors beautifully complement my Marshall pottery pieces and bring a light, airy feel to the space.

For the island centerpiece, I used a thrifted vintage copper casserole tray in an unexpected way. Instead of using it for serving, I styled it with a stack of books from my vintage cookbook collection. This not only adds height and interest but also creates a warm, lived in look that feels authentic and inviting.

A decorative tray holds a copper pitcher with pale tulips, two vintage cookbooks, a candle, and a folded white cloth with green stripes, all displayed on a marble countertop in a cozy kitchen setting.

To finish the centerpiece, I added fresh tulips in a copper pitcher along with a piece of linen that matches the flour sack towels. Carrying the same pattern throughout the space helps everything feel cohesive and thoughtfully designed.

Living Room

The living room is always one of my favorite spaces to decorate, and this season I had so much fun incorporating soft textures and handmade details.

A green vase with light pink tulips sits on a table, decorated with a checkered green and white ribbon tied in a bow. The background is softly blurred, showing home decor elements.

One of the highlights is the fabric bow garland draped across the mantel. This easy DIY project allowed me to use scrap fabric from previous projects to create something entirely new. The mix of patterns and soft spring colors ties beautifully into the rest of the room and adds a gentle, layered look.

On the mantel, I styled a collection of milk glass vases filled with faux tulips in soft pink and white tones. These faux tulips are incredibly realistic and bring that fresh spring feel into the space without the upkeep. I paired them with vintage brass candle holders and gold rabbit accents to add warmth and a subtle hint of shine.

For the TV art, I chose a whimsical cottage garden scene that brings the entire room together. It acts as a focal point and reinforces that “bringing the outdoors in” theme.

On the coffee table, I created a simple yet beautiful arrangement using a vintage crystal bowl filled with candles and spring florals. I added a green vase with more faux tulips, a stack of books, and a gold bunny to carry the theme from the mantel down to the table. This layering creates visual interest while still feeling clean and intentional.

Greenhouse

Spring in the greenhouse is truly magical and feels like a natural extension of our home. It is one of my favorite places to create a garden tour inspired setting and enjoy the beauty of the season.

View through open double doors into a bright, rustic greenhouse with a checkered floor, wooden table and benches, potted plants, shelves with gardening supplies, and sunlight streaming through a glass roof.

With my Peggy Martin climbing roses just beginning to bloom, I wanted to incorporate them into a fresh tablescape. I styled the table using Rococo pattern paper plates and utensils in soft pink and green florals. These pieces are both beautiful and practical, making them perfect for spring gatherings in the greenhouse.

For the centerpiece, I used a thrifted vintage glass footed bowl filled with handmade floating candles. These candles, made with dried rose petals, reflect the beauty of the garden and create such a soft, romantic glow. Floating candles are one of my favorite ideas for outdoor or greenhouse dining and truly elevate the entire experience.

Tips for Styling Your Spring Home

Decorating for spring does not have to be complicated or expensive. A few intentional choices can completely transform your home.

Start by incorporating florals throughout your spaces. Faux tulips are a beautiful and low maintenance option that can be reused year after year.

Mix vintage and new pieces to create a layered and collected look. Combining items like ironstone, cabbageware, and thrifted finds adds depth and character.

Use what you already have. Easy DIY projects like the yarn bunny ears or fabric bow garland are perfect for using leftover materials in a creative way.

Swap out small details like linens and artwork. These simple changes can instantly refresh a room without requiring a full redesign.

Create cozy focal points. Whether it is a styled coffee table, a kitchen island vignette, or a greenhouse table, these moments help define each space and make your home feel thoughtfully styled.
