Looking for a fun and creative way to decorate your eggs this Easter? Look no further! Decoupage eggs are the perfect way to add a touch of whimsy and charm to your holiday decor. Plus, they’re super easy to make and require just a few supplies. So, grab your paper mache eggs and let’s get cracking!

Supplies:

  • Paper mache eggs
  • Decoupage (ModPodge Matte Finish)
  • Dried Flowers
  • Paint brush
  • Wax Paper

Step 1: Coat one half of the egg evenly with decoupage

First things first, you’ll want to start by coating one half of your egg evenly with decoupage. Think of it as giving your egg a nice, smooth foundation to work with. Don’t be afraid to get a little messy here – it’s all part of the fun!

Step 2: Apply dried flowers

Now comes the fun part – adding some floral flair to your eggs! Take your dried flowers and carefully place them onto the decoupage, pressing gently to make sure they adhere. You can get as creative as you like here – mix and match different flowers, create patterns, or go for a more random look. It’s your egg, so let your imagination run wild!

Step 3: Let dry for at least 2 hours

Patience is a virtue, especially when it comes to crafting. After you’ve finished applying your dried flowers, set your egg aside and let it dry for at least 2 hours. This will ensure that the decoupage and flowers have time to fully adhere to the egg, giving you a beautiful finished product.

Step 4: Repeat the process on the other side

Once the first half of your egg is dry, it’s time to flip it over and repeat the process on the other side. Remember to coat the second half of the egg with decoupage, apply your dried flowers, and let it dry for another 2 hours. Double the fun, double the cuteness!

Step 5: Use for decorating

And voila! Your decoupage eggs are now ready to be put on display. Whether you use them as a centerpiece for your Easter table, hang them from a tree branch, or simply scatter them around your home, these eggs are sure to add a touch of whimsy and charm to your holiday decor. Get creative and have fun with it – after all, it’s Easter!

So, this Easter, why not try something a little different and give decoupage eggs a crack? With just a few supplies and a little bit of creativity, you can create beautiful, one-of-a-kind eggs that are sure to impress. Happy crafting!
